We (me, my husband and my 16 yr old daughter) went to the Apollo last night to see this AMAZING band live for the first time! It was out of this world to say the least! They have such talent to be able to perform so brilliantly live! And what comes across is the true PASSION that the band members have for their music - the drummer is an artist in his own right to produce fantastic beats and twirling his sticks! Tarja has a voice of an angel and I am captivated by her, and the other members play so effortlessly, what I mean is they are one with their instruments like that is the most natural thing in the world for them to be doing! All songs they did had me spellbound, especially Tarja's solo of Kuolema....brought tears to my eyes...AND what a finale! I wish I had an angel, the perfect end to a fantastic evening and wow the effects! Lights and explosion in just the right places! People were on their feet to this one and a lot of heads were banging! Terrific, when are they back in the UK???? Nightwish music feeds my soul, lifts me up, makes me feel strong, independent, unique....when else have I been able to feel I can dress to please myself? At 44 I don't care what people think of me wearing black eyeliner and black nail polish! I felt 18 again! Nightwish have given me a new focus, Thankyou :o)
